Syracuse (15-13, 9-8) hosts Boston College (17-11, 10-7) for the regular season finale inside the Carrier Dome on Sunday at 4 p.m. The Orange look to end a two-game skid and close out the regular season with their 13th straight victory over the Eagles. The game will be televised on the Regional Sports Network (YES Network in Syracuse).
Sunday is Senior Day in the dome. Syracuse will honor the six players on its roster who are apart of the 2020 graduating class; Brooke Alexander, Elemy Colomé, Gabrielle Cooper, Whisper Fisher, Kiara Lewis and Digna Strautmane in a pregame ceremony. To celebrate the final game in the Carrier Dome this season, the first 1,500 fans will receive a free Carrier Dome replica tin at Gates A and D while supplies last.
The Orange look to rebound after a 69-60 loss in Raleigh to No. 8 NC State on Thursday night. Lewis scored 20 points for the second consecutive game, which put her at 500 total points on the season. The Chicago native averages 17.9 points per game, good for fourth in the ACC. Fellow Senior Day honoree Gabrielle Cooper has been crashing the boards of late, grabbing at least five rebounds in seven straight games. Syracuse is second in the ACC in rebounds per game, averaging more than 41 boards a contest.
The Eagles are also coming off a road loss to a top-10 team, falling 68-48 to No. 5 Louisville on Thursday night. It was the fifth straight game that both forwards Taylor Soule and Emma Guy scored in double figures. Soule and Guy lead Boston College in scoring this season, averaging 13.8 and 13.6 points per game respectively. Guy leads the ACC in field-goal percentage, hitting 59.3% of her shots.
Syracuse leads the all-time series with Boston College 32-23 and is 19-7 at home. Coach Hillsman has never lost against the Eagles, holding a 12-0 record. The Orange won the last matchup earlier this season on February 6 in Chestnut Hill, Ma., 89-79, behind a 23-point performance from Kiara Lewis.
