
Orange Set for ACC Competition

The 2020 Syracuse University women's volleyball team will battle Atlantic Coast Conference foes Pittsburgh, Louisville, Notre Dame and Boston College in a season that is shortened due to the national COVID-19 pandemic.

The Orange will host 2019 ACC regular season and tournament champion Pittsburgh on opening weekend, September 25th and 26th, in the Women's Building. Syracuse will then travel for consecutive weekends to play at Notre Dame (October 2nd and 3rd) and Louisville (October 9th and 10th) before returning to campus for matches against Boston College on Oct. 16th and 17th.

In 2019, Syracuse beat Notre Dame, Louisville and Boston College in consecutive matches in early November. The Orange finished the year with a 12-13 record, including 9-9 in the ACC. Notre Dame (19-10 overall, 12-6 ACC) and Louisville (22-10, 12-6) tied for third in the conference, while Boston College (20-12, 11-7) finished seventh.

If fans are permitted to attend games – in some capacity – Syracuse Athletics will announce plans for spectators to secure admission to the events. Fans will be required to sit in their socially-distanced seat locations and wear a face covering.
