
Strong 5ks Propel 'Cuse on Day 2 of VT Invite

Trojan and Vestri win races
Amanda Vestri posted a strong time in the women's 5k to open the year. She crossed the line in 16:09.96 to start her track season with a win. Teammate Ellie Lawler finished second in the race.
JP Trojan picked up the win for the 'Cuse men in the 5,000-meters, crossing the line in 14:20.58. Silas Derfel was right behind (14:27.84) with a personal best, followed by Matthew Scrape (14:33.10) and Alex Comerford (14:33.86) – who also had a personal best. Nathan Henderson (14:43.06) and Joey Eovaldi (15:11.37) also raced for SU.
Saturday's 5k races concluded two days of competition to begin the 2021 indoor season for SU. (Friday recap).
