Orange Wrap Weekend at VT

Freshmen Gavin Richards and Juliette Keller turned in top-10 performances in the mile, highlighting day two at the Doc Hale Virginia Tech Elite Meet on Saturday.
It was a busy weekend for the Orange, as 'Cuse participated in a two-date meet at Virginia Tech (recap day one) and the 'Cuse cross country squad raced at Florida State on Friday (recap) to resume their season.
Keller crossed the line in 5:06.05, which was good for seventh overall in the women's event. Richards won his heat and finished ninth overall in 4:11.65. Teammate Kevin Robertson (4:15.86) was fifth in that heat.
Jordan Davenport and Brevin Sims raced in the 200-meter dash for Syracuse after competing in the 60-meter dash and 60-meter hurdles, respectively yesterday. Davenport crossed the line on Saturday in 22.55 seconds, Sims was close behind in 22.66. Sims won his event on Friday in what was his collegiate debut.
In the women's 200, Eunice Boateng and Shaleah Colaire also doubled up on the weekend. Boateng (25.45) and Colaire (25.51) were 20th and 21st, respectively.
The Orange are scheduled to be back in action next weekend at Clemson.
