Syracuse extended its win streak to nine games, its longest since the 2015 season when the Orange won 17-straight to start the season, with a 7-2 win over Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) rival Duke Saturday afternoon in Durham, N.C. Seven different Orange scored in the win as 'Cuse improves to 11-2 overall and a perfect 4-0 in the ACC. Duke moves to 5-9 overall and 0-5 in conference play.Â
"I'm so proud of how this team stepped up today," head coach Ange Bradley said. "To have multiple goal scorers is incredibly exciting and represents the learning that is occuring in our practice environment. We had many players that came off the bench and were ready to compete. We will evaluate and see how we can continue to grow to be better."Â
Quirine Comans scored 1:05 into the game to put the seventh-ranked Orange on the scoreboard first. Clara Morrison made it 2-0 when she connected with Comans' pass from the right end line in the 11th minute.Â
