
Kerr and Calov Earn ACC Honors

SYRACUSE N.Y. - Sophomore forward Deandre Kerr is a 2021 All-Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) First Team selection and freshman Curt Calov is a 2021 All-Freshmen Team honoree.

Kerr was a driving force for the Orange offense during the 2021 campaign leading the team in goals (9) and points (21). He concluded the season ranked third in goals and fifth in points in the ACC. The Ajax, Ontario native was named ACC Offensive Player of the Week for the week of September 6-12. Kerr scored two goals in three straight games starting at Virginia (Sept. 10), against Binghamton (Sep. 14), and against Louisville (Sept. 17), and had a goal and an assist against Niagara. It is the second ACC honor for Kerr, who was named to the 2020 ACC All-Freshman Team.

Calov made his Orange debut in the regular-season opener against Drexel (Aug. 26). He played in 18 games, including seven starts.The New Jersey native recorded his first collegiate goal against Niagara (Sept. 6). Calov closed the season as the team's third leading scorer. He was named to the Top Drawer Soccer Top 100 Freshmen List that came out in October. Â
Syracuse closed the season with an 8-8-2 overall record and a 2-5-1 mark in the ACC.
