'Cuse Track Headed to Clemson for the Weekend

Syracuse track and field is back in action this weekend as they head south to the Tiger Paw Invitational at Clemson.

This weekend's meet will feature the Orange sprinters and hurdlers, where the squad will look to build off a strong season-opening weekend at Virginia Tech last time out.

Last Time Out:
Freshman Brevin Sims won the 60-meter hurdles with a blistering 7.97 time at the Doc Hale meet at Virginia Tech last week. He was joined in the finals by Isaiah Lewis, Jamil Adams and Naseem Smith.

Grad student Jordan Jacob and freshman Gavin Richards each placed second in the 3000 meters and the mile, respectively.

'Cuse also had people competing in cross country last weekend and Amanda Vestri and Savannah Roark were honored with ACC performer and rookie of the week honors this week as well.

The event in Clemson will last both days over the weekend with action starting at Noon. After Clemson, Syracuse heads back to New York where they will take part in the Army Classic in West Point.
