Sims Earns All-ACC Honors to Conclude ACC Championships

Brevin Sims became the latest Orange to earn All-ACC honors at the ACC Indoor Track and Field Championships, after Amanda Vestri claimed the women's 5k title on Friday and JP Trojan earned the honors for the 'Cuse men on Thursday night.

Sims finished sixth in the 60-meter hurdles, making him the top freshman performer at the event. He turned in a personal-best time of 7.93. Teammate Jamil Adams took seventh and Isaiah Lewis was DQed in the race. Syracuse's three men in the final was the most of any school in the event.
Syracuse also picked up a point in the men's 3000-meter run after a PR from Nathan Henderson. He crossed the line in 8:08.32 for eighth overall (second in his section), where he was followed closely by teammate Aidan Tooker (8:08.56), who took ninth. Joey Eovaldi (8:11.56) finished 14th overall and Ethan Wechsler made his ACC Championships debut with a 24th-place finish.
Gavin Richards finished 10th in the men's mile. The freshman qualified for the finals with a PR on Friday.
Rachel Bonner (31st), Olivia Elston (38th), and Justus Holden-Betts (42nd) closed out the day in the women's 3000-meter run.
