
Vestri and Heffernan Race in NCAA 10k Final Tonight

Amanda Vestri and Annie Heffernan will compete for the Orange in the NCAA Championships in the women's 10,000-meter run tonight.
The race will be televised on ESPN2 beginning at 9:08 p.m. eastern.
Vestri enters the race as the No. 4 seed based on season-best times. Her career-best of 32:43.15 from earlier in the season is the fifth-fastest nationally this year.
Annie Heffernan's seed time of 33:25.55 was the 28th fastest in the nation this year and she is the No. 14 seed remaining tonight.
Alabama's Mercy Chelangat is the No. 1 seed with a time of 32:13.13.
The event is a one-race final and is the last event the Orange will compete in at the NCAA Championships this week, after Aidan Tooker and JP Trojan represented the squad on Wednesday.
