SYRACUSE N.Y.- Sophomore forward Deandre Kerr's standout performance in the games against Niagara and Virginia earned him ACC Offensive Player of the Week for week two of the 2021 season. He was also selected to the Top Drawer Soccer Team of the Week for September 6-12. He leads the team in goals scored and is tied for second in the ACC. Kerr is also leading the ACC in shots on goal with 11 shots on the season so far.

Kerr continued his success in the first ACC game of the season against ARV Virginia (Sept. 10), tallying two goals that night. Just six minutes into the game, he carried the ball down the field and put it past the Virginia goalie to give Syracuse the early 1-0 lead. Kerr also recorded the third goal of the game when he found the back of the net from just inside the box.
