
Syracuse Loses to Virginia Tech

BLACKSBURG, VA. -  Syracuse lost to Virginia Tech, 6-1, on Sunday. Senior Ariana Adams got the ball to start for Syracuse (10-9 overall, 1-5 ACC) . Lindsey Hendrix and Kaia Oliver also made an appearance on the mound against the Hokies (18-3 overall, 6-0 ACC).
Freshman Kelly Breen hit a solo homerun in the seventh inning to score the lone run for the Orange. She hit the shot against VT senior Keely Rochard. Rochard, who was the 2021 ACC Pitcher of the Year.Â
OF NOTE
- Breen led the Orange at the plate, going 1-for-3 with a home run and an RBI. It was her fourth homerun of the season.
- Laila Alves and Angel Jasso also produced one hit each.
