MARYLAND– Syracuse (10-9 overall, 1-5) plays back-to-back days against non-conference opponents this week. The Orange will take on Marlyand Eastern Shore on Tuesday, March 15 at 11:00 am. They will travel to Baltimore the following day to play Coppin State at 1:00 pm and 3:00 pm.
ORANGE UPDATE
This will be the first time Syracuse has played both Maryland Eastern Shore and Coppin State in program history. The Hawks are 2-15 this season and the Eagles are 0-14.
WEEK SCHEDULE
Syracuse ends its spring break road trip with three games at Hofstra over the weekend. The Orange will first take on Iona at 10:00 am on Saturday, March 19 and Hofstra at 3:00 pm. They will end with another game against Hofstra on Sunday, March 20 at 10:00 am.
ORANGE UPDATE
- Syracuse is coming off a weekend ACC series at #6 Virginia Tech.
- Freshman Kelly Breen had a multi-hit game in the second game of the series with a double and an RBI.
- Breen also hit her fourth homerun of the season in the third game of the series.
- Freshman Taylor Posner strung together a double and walk in game two.
- Neli Casares-Maher leads the Orange offense with the highest batting average (.407).
