LOUISVILLE, K.Y- Syracuse (20-16 overall, 3-11 ACC) lost to Louisville (22-17 overall, 6-7 ACC) 8-0 in the first game of the series.Â
Ariana Adams and Kaia Oliver saw time on the mound.
HOW IT HAPPENED
The Cardinals got off to and early lead in the top of the first inning after a two-run home run from Taylor Roby. No runs for either team came in the next two innings.
Louisville extended its lead to eight runs in the bottom of the fourth inning. A two-run RBI single and a Syracuse defensive error gave the Cardinals a 5-0 lead. Carmyn Greenwood's three-run home run grew the lead to 8-0.Â
The Orange offense was unable to push any runs across in the top of the fifth, ending the game at 8-0 after five innings.
