Syracuse women's basketball season is just around the corner. Get to know freshman wing Sophie Burrows. The Australian native has played for the Australian Olympic Development Program and is a sharp-shooter that will add depth to the Orange perimeter this season. Burrows began playing basketball at a young age after watching her older sisters play the sport. In her spare time she enjoys cooking and baking and is looking forward to her first season at Syracuse.

The Orange host Saint Rose on Tuesday, Oct. 31 for an exhibition game at the JMA Wireless Dome at 5 p.m. The season opener is set for the following Tuesday, Nov. 7 vs. Lafayette at 7 p.m.
