Erin Flurey, Grace Gillard, Kylen Grant, Ashley Rauch, Anna Rupert, and Zoe Van de Cloot have been named to the 2023 Academic All-District® Women's Soccer Team, selected by College Sports Communicators.
In order to earn selection, student-athletes must be at least a sophomore academically and athletically. An undergraduate student-athlete must have at least a 3.5 cumulative grade-point average. In the sport of soccer, student-athletes must compete in 90 percent of the institution's games or must start 66 percent of the team's contests.
Flurey, a redshirt sophomore forward who is a biology major, led the Orange in scoring (six goals, 15 points) while starting all 18 contests this fall. Gillard, a sophomore psychology major, made 18 starts at defender for Syracuse. Junior Kylen Grant was also with the starting lineup in all 18 matches and is a Health and Exercise Science major. Sophomore midfielder Ashley Rauch, a finance major, was with the first string throughout the campaign for Syracuse. Sophomore Anna Rupert, an economics major, produced two goals, three assists and seven points. Senior Zoe Van de Cloot, who played defender and midfielder for the Orange, is a finance and supply chain management major.
The 2023 Academic All-District® Women's Soccer Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
Â
Academic All-District® honorees advance to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. First-, second and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced December 20.Â
