Syracuse will play the second game of a home-and-home series against #5 Clarkson on Saturday, Nov. 25 at Cheel Arena in Potsdam, N.Y. In the first game of the series on Tuesday, senior Tatum White scored a goal in her 100th career game for the Orange. The Golden Knights won the game 4-1.

Syracuse and Clarkson have played each other in every season since 2010-11 and Orange head coach Britni Smith has coached in every game in the series since 2014-15, her first of eight seasons as an assistant coach at Clarkson. Smith became Syracuse's head coach prior to last season.

Clarkson is one of four ranked opponents on the Syracuse schedule this season, while two others are receiving votes in the poll. The opponents include #3 Colgate, #5 Clarkson, #6 St. Lawrence, #8 Cornell, with Penn State and Mercyhurst in the also receiving votes category.

What to Know About the Orange:

Forward Tatum White has had a goal or an assist in four of the last six games, including goals in the last two in a row. She has seven points this season, including three goals and four assists. White is climbing the Syracuse career faceoffs won record list, as well. She has 608 wins in the circle, which ranks seventh in program history. She is seven faceoff wins shy of sixth place on the list (Savannah Rennie, 615 from 2016-20).
The Orange rank 18th nationally and lead College Hockey America in penalty kill percentage (.831) and 10th nationally and are tied for first in the CHA in power play goals (11). Syracuse has limited opponents to 10 goals on 59 power play attempts and has scored 11 goals on 51 attempts, which is a conversion percentage of .216 and ranks 14th nationally and is first in the CHA.
Senior forward Sarah Thompson is tied for second in Syracuse history with seven power play goals. She has two this season, including against Lindenwood (11/17) and Merrimack (10/6).
