
Three Named to Inside Lacrosse's Top 50 List

SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Syracuse graduate student Delaney Sweitzer is ranked No. 5 on Inside Lacrosse's Top 50 College Players list. She is joined on the women's top 50 list by senior Emma Ward and fellow grad student Emma Tyrrell.

Sweitzer earned the 2023 Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) Goalkeeper of the Year award when she finished in the top 12 in four categories in the final NCAA Division I statistics. She ranked seventh nationally in saves (185), eighth in save percentage (.505) and 12th in goals-against average (9.20). In addition, Sweitzer was third in ground balls per game (3.71). Sweitzer earned first-team All-America honors from the IWLCA, Inside Lacrosse Magazine and USA Lacrosse Magazine.

Ward comes in at No. 17 on the list after dishing out 56 assists last season, which ranked third in the nation. She also scored 38 goals for a career-high 94 points. Ward earned IWLCA All-America First Team honors and was voted to the All-ACC First Team.

Tyrrell is ranked No. 33 by Inside Lacrosse. She posted career highs in points (67) and goals (51) in 2023. Tyrrell also recorded 30 draw controls, 12 ground balls and four caused turnovers. She was voted to the All-ACC Second Team.
