Syracuse takes on another opponent ranked in the top five when its hosts Maryland. Today we continue our series of Q&As with senior Emma Tyrrell.
What are your thoughts heading into the final season playing with your sister?
I am super excited about this last season with my sister. I can't wait for the great things we will accomplish this year.

Why did you pick your number, does it have any significance?
It was a random pick for me, I was always number 4 growing up. I love 24 though, it has really grown on me.
Â
What goals do you have for this season, both personally and for the team?
For the team, I want to see us win the ACC Championship this year and the National Championship. Personally, I want to do everything I can to help us get there.

Who is your lacrosse role model or who did you love to watch growing up?
I honestly loved watching Kayla Treanor growing up. I always loved watching her on the draw and on offense.

What is the best advice you could give a young lacrosse player?
Stay consistent with the little things like stick work, footwork, and shooting. It will help you grow as a player so much in the long run.

What is your favorite hobby when you are not playing lacrosse?
My favorite hobby would have to be cooking.

If you could be an Olympian in any sport, which would it be?
Definitely soccer! Is used to love playing soccer growing up.

What is your favorite sports team?
Not a fan favorite but the Dallas Cowboys.

Do you have any pregame rituals?
Yes, the rituals started sophomore year. I drink a Monster energy drink before every game and I also eat sour gummy worms.

If you could have any superpower, which would you pick?
The ability to fly or time travel.

Which teammate are you excited to see play this year?
Sierra Cockerille. We both are coming off an injury so I am excited to see her hard work pay off.
