
Malone Wins Pittsburgh Marathon

Syracuse alum Margo Malone won the Dick's Sporting Goods Pittsburgh Marathon on Sunday, finishing in 2:41.56, seven minutes clear of the field.
Malone, a three-time All-American on the track in her 'Cuse career, including First Team honors in 2015, was an eight-time All-ACC selection between cross country and track and field in her collegiate career. The 2015 ACC 10k champion, she was a top-10 finisher at the ACC meet in cross country during each of her final three seasons with the program.
The Pittsburgh native's hometown victory was her first marathon win. She is one-of-four siblings to have competed for the Orange, along with sisters Shannon and Mary. Her brother Patrick is currently a member of the program.
