
2023 Volleyball Schedule Announced

Eleven home matches highlight the 2023 Syracuse University volleyball schedule, which was announced Wednesday afternoon. The 28-game slate begins August 25 against Navy in Albany, N.Y.
Head Coach Bakeer Ganesharatnam compiled a competitive non-conference schedule for the Orange in his second season at the helm which includes early season tournaments at Albany and Michigan State and one home tournament, the Syracuse/Cornell Invitational, Sept. 15-16. Eight teams Syracuse will face in 2023 earned bids to the 2022 NCAA Tournament including national runner up Louisville and Pittsburgh who both reached the Final Four last season.
First serve of the 2023 season is at 11 a.m. on August 25, the first of two games for the Orange on opening Day. Syracuse first plays Navy then will play host Albany at 7 p.m. that evening. 'Cuse completes opening weekend play against UCF, a 2022 NCAA Tournament qualifier, at noon on Saturday, Aug. 26.
The Orange head to Michigan at the beginning of September for the Kathy DeBoer Invitational Presented by Auto-Owners Insurance at Michigan State where 'Cuse will face Delaware State, Michigan State and Belmont for one game each.
The Orange will play back-to-back weeks of midweek games against regional foes Cornell (Sept. 6) and Colgate (Sept. 12) before hosting Iowa for the home opener on Friday, Sept. 15 at 7 p.m. Syracuse and Cornell pair up to host the Syracuse/Cornell Invitational September 15-16 and host both the Hawkeyes and Morgan State.
Atlantic Coast Conference play begins Sept. 22 on the road when the Orange head to 2022 National Runner Up Louisville at 7 p.m. 'Cuse continues its four-game road stretch at Notre Dame (Sept. 24), Virginia (Sept. 29), and 2022 National Semifinalist Pittsburgh (Oct. 1).
SU plays four-straight home games in October beginning with Virginia Tech on Oct. 6 and concludes the stretch against Duke on Sunday, Oct. 15.
The Orange travel to Florida in late October to face Miami (Oct. 20) and Florida State (Oct. 22) and closes out the month with back-to-back home matches against Clemson (Oct. 27) and Georgia Tech (Oct. 29).
Syracuse travels to Boston College for its only mid-week ACC game of the season on Wednesday, Nov. 1 and takes a single game trip to North Carolina State on Sunday, Nov. 5.
Three of the final four matches of the regular season will be at the friendly confines of the Women's Building when Syracuse hosts Florida State (Nov. 10), Boston College (Nov. 17) and Pittsburgh (Nov. 24) for the final match of the ACC slate. Syracuse's last road game against ACC opponents is set for Sunday, Nov. 19 against Georgia Tech.
The Orange return four letterwinners from the 2022 season and welcome nine newcomers in Coach Ganesharatnam's second season on The Hill.
Attendance to all Syracuse regular season home games is free at the Women's Building Gymnasium on SU's campus.
