Syracuse returns to College Hockey America play with a weekend series at Mercyhurst. The Orange and the Lakers will face off on Friday, Jan. 12 at 6 pm and Saturday, Jan. 13 at 2 pm at the Mercyhurst Ice Center. Both games will be streamed on FloHockey.tv. The Orange (4-15-2 overall, 1-6-1 CHA) and Lakers (9-12-1, 5-3-0) have not played yet this season.

Syracuse forward Tatum White ranks 21st nationally and third in the CHA in faceoff wins with 209 through21 games. Her .562 face off win percentage ranks fourth in the CHA. The Kingston, Ontario native is sixth on the Syracuse career face off wins with 680 in 105 games. Senior Sarah Thompson is 11th on the same record list with 403 career wins in the circle.

Orange goaltender Allie Kelley ranks seventh on Syracuse's single-season saves record list. She recorded 37 saves against Colgate to improve her 2023-24 save total to 640 in 20 games. Every goalie other than Kelley in the top seven on the list has played at least 27 games.

Syracuse will play its final non-conference game against St. Lawrence on Jan. 16 at Tennity Ice Pavilion.

The team will host its annual 'Skate with the Orange' on Monday, January 15 from 1 to 3 pm at the Clinton Square Ice Rink. Fans of all ages are welcome to enjoy an afternoon on the ice, get a team poster to collect autographs, meet Syracuse Hall of Fame mascot Otto the Orange, and pick up free Syracuse Athletics giveaways.

- Forward Marielle McHale ranks fourth in Syracuse history in career games played. She has skated in 152 games for the Orange. Former forward Victoria Klimek holds the Syracuse record with 164 games played. Senior forwards Tatum White and Sarah Thompson played in in their 100th career games in Orange earlier this season.
- Former Orange defensemen Jessica DiGirolamo and Allie Munroe are playing for Boston and Toronto, respectively, in the new Professional Women's Hockey League (PWHL) that began its inaugural season on January 1, 2024. DiGirolamo, who served as the team captain in 2021-22 and co-captain in 2020-21, was a two-time CHA Best Defenseman Award winner, was named to the CHA All-Tournament time three times and earned All-CHA First Team honors twice. A two-time CHA Best Defenseman Award winner, Munroe earned All-CHA First Team honors as a sophomore and senior and was a second-team selection as a junior. In her rookie season she earned CHA All-Tournament team honors. Munroe was a co-captain as a senior and an assistant captain as a junior.
