'Cuse To Travel to Wake Forest for ACC Championship First Round

SYRACUSE, N.Y. – The 2024 ACC Men's Soccer Championship bracket and seeds are set, with 12th-seeded Syracuse (7-6-3, 2-4-2 ACC) opening its postseason campaign on Wednesday, Nov. 6 at fifth-seeded Wake Forest (8-4-5, 4-2-2 ACC). The match is slated for 7 p.m. at Spry Stadium and will also be live streamed on ACC Network Extra.
Syracuse finished the regular season with a 7-6-3 record and were 2-4-2 in ACC play, picking up win over Notre Dame (Oct. 5) and No. 3 Pittsburgh (Nov. 1). 'Cuse also played to draws at Boston College (Sept. 6) and Louisville (Sept. 20). After starting the campaign 3-4-3, the Orange played to a 4-2-0 record in the final six contests of the regular season. Throughout the campaign, 'Cuse net 24 goals, coming from 14 different players. Gabe Threadgold, Chimere Omeze, and Daniel Burko led the way with three scores apiece.
The Orange and the Demon Deacons met earlier this season on Sept. 27, with Wake Forest earning a 2-1 come-from-behind victory at SU Soccer Stadium. Sam Layton opened the game's scoring in the 66th minute, but back-to-back goals from the opposition in the 78th and 80th earned Wake Forest the win.
