Adamson, Former Orange to Compete for Team USA

SPARKS, Maryland – Syracuse senior Olivia Adamson is one of 44 players named to U.S. Lacrosse Women's Senior National Team for the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) Presidents Cup from Nov. 22-24. Adamson will be joined by former Orange Becca Block '13, Katie Goodale '24, Kate Mashewske '23 and Delaney Sweitzer '23.

Adamson recorded career highs in points (83), goals (58) and assists (25) last season, helping Syracuse advance to the national semifinals for the second-straight year. She earned IWLCA All-America Third Team honors and was an All-Northeast Region and All-ACC First Team honoree.

Goodale, Mashewske and Sweitzer all finished their 'Cuse careers last spring. Goodale set the single-season school record with 45 caused turnovers to go along with 43 ground balls in 2024 when she was an IWLCA First Team All-American. She finished her career with a program-best 102 caused turnovers. Mashewske ranks as Syracuse's single-season (234) and career (577) record holder for draw controls. She was a second-team IWLCA All-America pick last season. Sweitzer started in goal for the Orange the past two seasons. She was the 2023 IWLCA Goalkeeper of the Year when she ranked eighth in the nation in save percentage (.505).

Block is a veteran of the U.S. national team and helped Team USA win the 2017 and 2022 World Championships. The defender started all eight games at the 2022 tournament and finished with eight ground balls and two caused turnovers.

In addition, 'Cuse head coach Kayla Treanor is a member of the coaching staff for the U.S. Team, which is building towards the 2026 World Lacrosse Women's Championship that will be held in Japan.

The U.S. will hold an exhibition game on Saturday, Nov. 23 in Lakewood Ranch, Florida, followed by a public autograph session. The team will scrimmage Boston College the following day at 12:30 p.m.
