Omeze Among TopDrawerSoccer’s Postseason Top 100 Freshmen

SYRACUSE, N.Y. - Chimere Omeze has been named the No. 50 freshman in the country following the 2024 season, as announced by TopDrawerSoccer. The Brampton, Ontario native was also featured in TDS' midseason freshmen list at No. 27.
Omeze started in all 16 contests he appeared in this season, logging 1,305 minutes on the pitch, the fourth-most on the team. The freshman tallied three goals, including a team-high two game-winning scores in victories over Colgate (Aug. 22) and Providence (Oct. 8). He also added one assist for a total of seven points, the third-most on the squad.
In his collegiate debut at Colgate, Omeze made an immediate impact, playing the full 90 minutes on the backline and netting the decisive 88th-minute game-winner to secure a 1-0 victory for the Orange over the Raiders.
Omeze's standout efforts this season earned him a spot on the the 2024 ACC All-Freshman Team, marking him as the ninth player in program history to earn the distinction.
