March is here and the Orange are ready to dance! The Syracuse women's basketball team is having a Watch Party at APEX Entertainment in Destiny USA on Sunday, March 17 for the 2024 NCAA Tournament Selection Show. Fans are encouraged to celebrate the success of the Syracuse women's basketball team this season and be a part of the celebration as the Orange learn their NCAA Tournament fate.
The watch party at APEX will run from 7-9 p.m. and the whole team will be in attendance. Fans will have the opportunity to mingle with players and staff as we celebrate the 2023-24 season and what's still in store for the Orange.
Syracuse, currently No. 22 in the Associated Press (AP) Top-25 Poll, is expected to earn an at-large bid to the NCAA Tournament on Sunday. The Orange are projected to be a 5-seed this year according to ESPN Bracketologist Charlie Creme but are considered on the bubble as a possible top-16 seed which would give the Orange the chance to host the first and second rounds. 'Cuse has hosted twice before, in 2016 during a historic run to the championship game, and again in 2019.
In just her second season as head coach, Felisha Legette-Jack has guided the Orange to one of their most successful seasons in program history. She was named ACC Coach of the Year becoming the first SU coach to earn the honor in basketball since Syracuse joined the ACC.
The Orange tied program records in regular season wins (23), conference wins (13) and ACC road wins (6) while posting a 14-2 record at the JMA Wireless Dome.
