Dyaisha Fair will be attending Las Vegas Aces star Kelsey Plum's Dawg Class this year, Plum announced this week. Fair is the first Syracuse player to attend the camp and is one of nine invitees this year.
Â
Fair was selected 16th overall in the second round of the 2024 WNBA Draft by the Aces on Monday night in Brooklyn, N.Y., becoming the first draft pick of the Felisha Legette-Jack era at Syracuse and the sixth in program history.
Â
Plum's Dawg Class, hosted by Under Armour Next, came from Plum's struggle to transition from college basketball to becoming a pro. Starting in 2023, Plum selects nine of the nation's top college guards to participate in the camp, working on and off the court with each athlete during the three-day skills camp.
Â
Along with Fair, fellow WNBA Draft Pick Nika Muhl who went two spots before Fair to the Seattle Storm will be attending the camp. Other invitees include KK Arnold (UConn), Ta'Niya Latson (Florida State), Georgia Amoore (Virginia Tech/Kentucky), Milaysia Fulwiley (South Carolina), Aneesah Morrow (LSU), Shyanne Sellers (Maryland), Aziaha James (NC State), Saniya Rivers (NC State), Deja Kelly (UNC), and Raven Johnson (South Carolina).
Â
Fair ended her college career with 3,403 points, sitting behind Plum in second (3,527) and this year's No. 1 WNBA Draft Pick Caitlin Clark (3,951). Fair and Plum will be teaming up for the two-time defending WNBA Champion Las Vegas Aces, who defeated the New York Liberty last season in the finals.
