Orange Earn IWLCA Academic Honors

SYRACUSE, New York – Six members of the Syracuse women's lacrosse team have earned recognition from the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) for their work in the classroom. In addition, the Orange are one of 324 teams across Division I, II, III and NAIA to be recognized as an IWLCA Academic Honor Squad for the 2023-24 academic year.

Graduate students Bianca Chevarie, Gwenna Gentle and Savannah Sweitzer, senior Emma Ward and juniors Olivia Adamson and McKenzie Olsen were named to the IWLCA Academic Honor Roll. Student-athletes must be a junior, senior or graduate student and earned a cumulative GPA of 3.50 or greater during the 2023-24 academic year to be eligible for the Academic Honor Roll.

The Orange earned Academic Honor Squad status for the second time in three years. Teams must post a 3.2 or higher GPA for the academic year to earn the honor.
