Syracuse Draws Fifth-Seeded Virginia in Opening Round of ACC Tournament

After concluding the regular season with a 7-3 record in ACC-play, Syracuse earned the fourth overall seed in the ACC Tournament and will take on fifth-seeded Virginia in the opening round on Wednesday, April 22.

The quarterfinal game will be a rematch from mid-March when the Orange topped the Cavaliers, 6-5. The game came down to the wire, with Kaci Benoit sealing the win, deflecting a pass in front of the net with 12 seconds to go to preserve a narrow victory.

The quarterfinal is set for Wednesday, April 22 at 2 p.m. A Syracuse win would send the Orange to the semifinals on Friday, April 24 at 5 p.m. to face the winner of top-seeded North Carolina and eighth-seeded Duke.

The other side of the bracket features No. 2 seed Stanford taking on No. 7 seed Boston College and No. 3 seed Clemson set to clash with No. 6 seed Notre Dame.

The conference tournament will be played at American Legion Memorial Stadium in Charlotte, North Carolina with each game set to air on ACC Network.
