Men’s Soccer Hosts 31st Annual Henry E. Giles Open

JAMESVILLE, N.Y. – Syracuse men's soccer hosted its 31st Annual Henry E. Giles Open and 2024 Kickoff Dinner at The Pompey Club in Jamesville, New York, on Saturday, July 27. The annual fundraising event brings together the program's players, staff, alumni, and fans to celebrate the upcoming season through the game of golf.
Following the conclusion of play, all participants and Syracuse supporters were invited into the course's clubhouse for the 2024 Kickoff Dinner. Those at the dinner had the opportunity to conversate with the players and hear from head coach Ian McIntyre, who added to the excitement for the 2024 campaign.
Attendees also had the opportunity to place bids in a silent auction for prizes such as Syracuse Men's Soccer merchandise.
The Orange open their 2024 slate on the road on Thursday, August 22, at Colgate. Syracuse's home opener will take place three days later against Niagara on Sunday, August 25, at SU Soccer Stadium.
Those who participated in the event were matched up into two pairs of two for an 18-hole outing on the links.
