Orange Ranked No. 25 in United Soccer Coaches Preseason Poll

SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Syracuse men's soccer earned a spot at No. 25 in the 2024 United Soccer Coaches Preseason Poll, as announced by the organization on Tuesday evening. The distinction marks the second-straight year the Orange have been featured in the preseason rankings.
'Cuse is coming off a nine-win season where it reached the semifinals of the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) tournament, as well as a berth to the NCAA Tournament for the second-consecutive campaign.
Syracuse is one of 10 ACC teams included in the USC preseason poll. The other nine schools include reigning National Champions, Clemson (No. 1), Notre Dame (No. 2), Stanford (No. 5), UNC (No. 6), SMU (No. 10), Virginia (No. 13), Wake Forest (No. 15), Duke (No. 20), and Louisville (No. 24).
Five of 'Cuse's eight conference matchups will be against teams included in the preseason ranks. The Orange will host Wake Forest (Sept. 27) and Notre Dame (Oct. 5), while also traveling to Louisville (Sept. 20), Virginia (Oct. 19), and Clemson (Oct. 25).
Syracuse will host two exhibition matches against St. Bonaventure (Aug. 10) and Marist (Aug. 13) before opening their regular season at Colgate (Aug. 22). The Orange will open their home slate against Niagara (Aug. 25).
