Guyette Earns ACC Defensive Player of the Week Honors

Daniella Guyette has been named the ACC Defensive Player of the Week after making 11 saves and posting a .550 save percentage in Syracuse's quadruple-overtime win over Notre Dame, the league announced Tuesday afternoon. This is Guyette's second ACC Defensive Player of the Week award of the season.

Guyette stopped three shots in triple overtime to keep the game tied before Trinkaus found the back of the net as time expired in the fourth overtime to cap the longest game in program history.

The award is the latest milestone in a career year for Guyette. She paces the ACC in goals-against average and sits second in the conference in save percentage, which also earned her a spot on the Tewaaraton Award Watch List and Nike Midseason All-American recognition.

The Orange conclude the regular season on Thursday in Chestnut Hill, where they'll face Boston College at 5:30 p.m. on ESPNU.
