Bio
At Syracuse:Coxswained the JV8 to wins against Boston University and at the Georgetown Invitational in 2002...his championship four boat took first place at the 2001 Head of the Schuylkill...coxswained the JV eight to four wins during the 2001 spring season...coxswain for the Ladies Plate eight at the 2001 Henley Royal Regatta...boat won the Petite Final at the Eastern Sprints his freshman year...has been named to the Athletic Director’s Honor Roll five straight semesters.
High School: Served as coxswain all four years for the West Side Rowing Club...won two bronze medals with the men’s midweight eight at the SRA Nationals...men’s lightweight eight won the silver medal at the U.S. Rowing Nationals in 1998...three-time New York State champion with the freshman eight in 1996, the lightweight eight in 1998, and the midweight eight in 1999.
Personal: Born October 16, 1980 in Buffalo, N.Y....son of Jerome and Peggy Romano...majoring in information management & technology in the School of Information Studies.
