Freshman Year (2004): Third-team All-BIG EAST … Posted a school-record 17 victories (17-15) … Led the Orange with a 1.81 ERA and five shutouts … Set a new SU single-season mark, throwing 197.2 innings, the fifth-highest total in the BIG EAST … Struck out 126 batters … Recorded SU’s first save since the 2002 season … Batted .233 with four doubles, three home runs and 11 RBI … Ranked eight in the BIG EAST in overall earned run average and was fifth in conference ERA at 1.28 … Both totals were the lowest of any BIG EAST freshman … Ranked among the league’s overall leaders in wins, shutouts and complete games (21) … Defeated 13th-ranked Cal State Fullerton on Feburary 15 for her first career victory … Set the school record for the longest complete-game shutout, blanking Nicholls State 1-0 in 11 innings on February 22 … Tossed a complete-game four-hitter against Providence in the championship game of the Mizuno Bash at the Beach … Named the tournament’s Most Valuable Pitcher … Allowed two or fewer earned runs in 12 of her 26 starts … Had a streak of 29 and one-third innings without allowing an earned run from March 20-April 21 … Earned SU’s only save of the season in game two against Virginia Tech … Pitched an inning an one-third of scoreless relief against the Hokies … Struck out a career-high eight in eight innings against Iowa ... Named to the SU Athletic Director’s Honor Roll in the fall.
High School: Named first-team all-area in each of her four years at Nazareth Area High School … Also a four-time first-team All-Lehigh Valley Conference selection … Allentown Morning Call and Easton Express Times Player of the Year in 2002 … Allentown Morning Call’s Rookie of the Year in 2000 … Hit .440 with four home runs and 27 RBI as a senior … Also had a 0.77 ERA, striking out 114 batters … Team captain her senior year … Threw the first no-hitter in district history to lead the Blue Eagles to the 2002 District XI championship … Helped Nazareth to the Lehigh Valley League championship in 2003 … Also played travel ball for the Northampton Rebels (2000-01), New Jersey Rotten Apples (2002) and the Lehigh Valley Lady Gators (2003).
