Shannon Burke is in her second season as Syracuse’s director of operations after serving as a volunteer assistant coach for the Orange in 2008. Burke came to SU after completing a successful career at the University of Connecticut.
Burke earned the 2007 BIG EAST Midfielder of the Year award after leading the nation in scoring (6.25 ppg.) and assists (3.62 apg.). A three-time All-BIG EAST First Team honoree, Burke was selected to the 2007 All-America Second Team. She holds the Connecticut single-game, single-season and career records for points and assists.
A Syracuse native, Burke was a two-time All-America selection at West Genesee High School, where she led the Wildcats to three state championships. Burke earned her bachelor’s degree in human development and family studies from Connecticut in 2007. She is currently pursuing her master’s degree in business administration.
