Volunteer assistant coach Sam Haimann joined the staff in August 2020. He has five years of collegiate coaching experience, including the past two at Hamilton College where he is an assistant coach. Haimann is working with the Syracuse program while Hamilton College volleyball is on pause due to COVID-10.
Haimann served as the assistant coach at Lafayette College from 2015 to 2017. At Lafayette he assisted with program operations, including travel coordination and facility and equipment management. He began his coaching career as the men’s volleyball assistant coach at Kean University in 2015, when the Cougars established a new program-standard with 31 wins and won the Skyline Conference championship.
Haimann was a team captain as a junior and senior at Kean in 2011 and 2012. He also played for Saint Francis in 2010.
Haimann served as the assistant coach at Lafayette College from 2015 to 2017. At Lafayette he assisted with program operations, including travel coordination and facility and equipment management.
