After Rowan put one in the back of the net, Georgetown scored three times in a row to push its lead to 6-2 with 9:34 to go in the first half. Rowan closed out the scoring as she slipped a shot past the keeper with six seconds left to close within three, 6-3. Sophomore Stephanie Bissett (Woodstock, Md.) set the goal up by causing a Georgetown turnover and picking up the loose ball.
Rowan picked up where she left off and scored a goal 2:27 into the second frame to pull SU within two, 6-4. Stanwick responded with two goals of her own to push the lead back to four goals, 8-4. After Fortune notched a goal, Sara Zorzi scored two more to put the Hoyas up for good, 10-5. Hamm and Rowan both registered goals in the waning minutes of the game.
