SYRACUSE – Syracuse will host Rider University on Monday, December 28, in the Carrier Dome. It will mark the second time the two programs have competed in women's basketball. Syracuse won the previous meeting with the Broncs back in the 1993-94 season when Syracuse defeated Rider, 85-66, in the Carrier Dome.

The Broncs are led by Rider alumni Lynn Millign, who is entering her third season as head coach. Associate head coaches include Pam Durkin, Rashana Barnes and assistant coach John Miller. Rider was 10-20 overall and 7-11 in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference. The Broncs earned a spot in the MAAC Conference Tournament but had their season ended in the preliminary round of the tournament by 10th seeded Niagara University.
