SYRACUSE N.Y.- #5/5 Syracuse (18-1, 5-1) will return home on Saturday, Jan. 23 to take on Marquette (11-7, 2-4) at 2 p.m. in the Carrier Dome. The Orange recently completed a successful three-game road trip that extended its winning streak to five games. Saturday's matchup is the first home game for the Orange in almost two weeks. Syracuse's most recent home date was a Jan. 10 victory against USF.
Tickets for Saturday's game against the Golden Eagles are available online, by phone (1-888-DOMETIX) or in person at the Carrier Dome Box office. The game will be broadcast live nationally on ESPNU. Fans can also listen to the action live via the Syracuse ISP Radio Network and its flagship TK 99 (99.5 FM). The audio stream of the radio broadcast will be available on SUathletics.com as part of Orange All-Access.
In addition, Syracuse University student-athletes will be helping collect donations for the Red Cross to benefit those affected by the earthquakes in Haiti. Red Cross collection cans will be placed at the gates of the Carrier Dome and in the backcourt for Saturday's game against Marquette and Monday night's game against Georgetown. All the money donated will go directly to the Red Cross relief efforts in Haiti.
Orange head coach Jim Boeheim recently pledged $5,000 to the cause through the “Hoops for Haiti” telethon.
