Student-Athletes Reach Out To Community

SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Members of the Syracuse University Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) are partnering with the Office of Engagement Programs to reach out to local families during the holidays. Student-athletes will be collecting donations for Thanksgiving dinners at upcoming SU women's ice hockey and volleyball games.
Items can be donated at the women's ice hockey game on Friday, November 5 at 7 p.m. at Tennity Ice Pavilion or the volleyball games on Friday, November 12 at 7 p.m. and Sunday, November 14 at 2 p.m. at the Women's Building.
Student-athletes will be collecting the following items:
*Gift cards from local grocery store for turkey
*Boxes of prepared stuffing
*Cans of vegetable broth, cranberry sauce, yams, corn or green beans
*Boxes of Bisquick
*Bags of fresh apples or potatoes
Come cheer on the women's ice hockey and volleyball teams and help local families celebrate Thanksgiving.
