People Take Notice
Syracuse is ranked 24th nationally according to this week's Associated Press poll. It marks the first time since Feb. 8, 2008 that the squad has been ranked among the AP Top 25.
The national recognition comes after Syracuse upset No. 6 Ohio State, 75-66, at the Carrier Dome on Dec. 11. Morrow led the Orange with a game-best 27 points in the win, which was the first against an opponent ranked No. 6 or higher since Jan. 2, 1996 when SU defeated then No. 2 Connecticut, 62-59, at Manley Field House.
Morrow earned BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll recognition for her performances in SU's 2-0 week. It is the first weekly mention of the season and the third career BIG EAST Honor Roll nod for Morrow, who was named to the Preseason All-BIG EAST Honorable Mention squad prior to the season.
