The rv/rv Orange returns to the friendly confines of the Carrier Dome to host Pittsburgh on Wednesday, January 26 at 7 p.m.

Last Time Out
Syracuse used a late-game rally to earn a 69-63 come-from-behind victory against Marquette on Jan. 22 at the Al McGuire Center. Sophomore center Kayla Alexander and junior guard Iasia Hemingway both notched double-doubles in SU's first BIG EAST road win of the season.
Alexander tallied 17 points and 10 rebounds as the Orange dominated the Golden Eagles on the boards, 41-29, and in the paint, 38-26. Hemingway matched 13 points with a team-best tying 10 boards while senior guard Erica Morrow rounded out the double-digit scorers with 15 points and four rebounds.
Sophomore guard Elashier Hall added nine points while senior guard Tasha Harris directed the well-balanced offense with five assists and chipped in seven points.
Scouting Pittsburgh
Pittsburgh (9-9, 1-4 BIG EAST) has lost four of its last five games, including back-to-back losses against Notre Dame and at Connecticut. The Panthers are led by Taneisha Harrison's 13.9 and Jania Sims 13.6 points per game. Sims also leads Pitt with 4.9 assist per game. Chelsea Cole is grabbing a team-best 9.6 rebounds per outing.
Harrison has tallied double figure scoring in 10 consecutive games and 16 on the season.
Cole and Shayla Scott are ranked No. 1 and No. 4, respectively, in the BIG EAST in defensive bourds. The duo average 6.1 and 5.4 defensive boards a game.
Pitt's leading scorer Brittaney Thomas (15.2 ppg) was dismissed for violating team rules after the sixth game.
The Panthers are 3-5 on the road this season, 1-2 in away conference games.
Pitt has yet to shoot over 40 percent in a game in the new calendar year of 2011.
The Panthers are 1-7 when opponents score 70 or more points. Pitt is 7-1 this season when they register 70 or more points in single game.
The all-time record for Pitt women's basketball is 527-518.
The Panthers have made at least one 3-pointer in 67 consecutive games.
Series Notes
Syracuse owns the series lead versus the Panthers, 28-19, but Pittsburgh has won four of the last meetings, including a 77-75 victory the last time Pitt was in the Dome on Jan. 24, 2009.
The Orange won last season's encounter, 87-80, in overtime in Pittsburgh.
SU has not posted a victory versus Pitt in Syracuse since 2003 (Manley Field House). The Orange hasn't defeated the Panthers in the Carrier Dome since 1984.
