Carrie-Mattimoe Earns CHA Weekly Honors

Holly Carrie-Mattimoe, who scored two goals last weekend for the Orange, was named to the CHA Weekly Honor Roll on Monday. Carrie-Mattimoe scored SU's first shorthanded goal of the season last Tuesday at No. 2 Cornell, and added a power play goal in an exhibition win against McGill on Friday.
Carrie-Mattimoe is tied for the team-lead in goals this season with four. She is tied for 19th in the nation with two power play tallies and tied for fourth with one shorthanded goal. Her goal against the Big Red came when she was sent in on a breakaway by Taylor Metcalfe before burying a shot past the Cornell goaltender.
Carrie-Mattimoe has 12 career power play goals, which is the second most in program history. Her sixth points this season is the third-most on the team.
Syracuse will be off this weekend before the Orange returns to Tennity Ice Pavilion to host Ohio State, beginning on Friday, Nov. 18 at 7:00 p.m.
