CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The Syracuse University women's rowing team took part in four races today on the waters of the history Charles River. SU recorded two third-place and two fourth-place showings. The Orange varsity eight, second varsity eight, varsity four and second varsity four were in action against Radcliffe, Dartmouth and Minnesota.
Syracuse's varsity eight finished the 2,000-meter track in 6:54.7. Dartmouth won the race in 6:37.7. SU's second varsity eight also placed fourth with a time of 7:05.7. Minnesota took home that race in 6:48.2.
The Orange varsity four crossed the line in third place with a time of 7:57.3. Dartmouth finished first in 7:48.9. Syracuse second varsity four also placed third in 8:27.1. Boston won the 2V4 race in 7:53.9.
SU remains in Cambridge tomorrow and will battle Minnesota, Louisville and Boston.
