SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Syracuse tries to extend its winning streak when it hosts Pittsburgh, on Thursday, Oct. 4 at 7 p.m. There is no admission charge to the game.

The Orange is in second place in the BIG EAST's American Division with a 4-1-1 mark in conference play. Overall, Syracuse is 7-4-2. The Panthers enter Thursday's game with a 5-9-1 overall record and a 0-4-1 mark in league action.
THE SERIES
Thursday's game marks the 15th meeting between Syracuse and Pittsburgh. The Orange leads the series, 8-3-3. Syracuse won the first six meetings between the two schools. Since then, SU is 2-3-3 against the Panthers.
FRESHMEN MAKE IMPACT
Four members of Syracuse's freshman class have scored at least one goal this season. The group is responsible for seven of SU's 19 goals this season, or 36.8 percent. The four different freshman scorers is the highest number for the Orange since the 2005 season when five freshmen recorded at least one goal.

Syracuse goes on the road for the final time during the regular season next weekend for a pair of games. The Orange takes on South Florida in Tampa on Friday, Oct. 12 at 7 p.m.
