11 AND COUNTING
Syracuse extended its winning streak to 11 games with its 16-9 victory against Louisville. The Orange is one win away from tying the program's longest winning streak of 12, which was set by the 2000 squad. That season, SU began the year with three consecutive losses before winning its last 12 regular-season contests. The Orange earned an at-large bid to the NCAA Tournament where it lost to Georgetown, 11-10, in the first round.
A CLOSER LOOK AT THE ORANGE
Junior Becca Block scored a career-high three goals and sophomore Alyssa Murray recorded five points to lead Syracuse to a 16-9 victory at Louisville on Friday, April 20.
The Cardinals opened the scoring before Syracuse netted seven straight goals to take a 7-1 halftime lead. The two teams traded goals to start the second half before consecutive scores by Block, Michelle Tumolo and Murray gave the Orange its largest lead of the game at 12-3 with 15:54 to play. Louisville attempted a comeback as it recorded three of the game's next four goals, but Syracuse responded with goals from Murray and Katie Webster as it regained its nine-goal advantage.
Tumolo finished with two goals and became the ninth player in school history to record 100 career goals.
SCOUTING THE BEARCATS
Cincinnati enters Sunday's game on an eight-game losing streak which has dropped its record to 3-10. The Bearcats are 0-6 in BIG EAST play.
