COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Syracuse goes for its second consecutive victory when it faces Ohio State on Sunday, Sept. 2 at 6 p.m. in Columbus, Ohio. The Orange improved its record to 2-1-1 with its win at St. Bonaventure on Friday, while the Buckeyes are 2-2 this season.
THE SERIES
Syracuse and Ohio State meet for the third time on Sunday. Previously, the teams played in back-to-back seasons in 1999 and 2000. The Buckeyes won both contests by one goal.
LAST TIME OUT...
The Orange posted its first shutout of the season in a 2-0 victory at St. Bonaventure on Friday. Freshman Kari Quinn netted her first career goal in the first half before Hanna Strong added an insurance goal in the second as Syracuse remained unbeaten on the road this season. Junior goalkeeper Brittany Anghel recorded her 14th career shutout, moving her into a three-way tie for second place on SU's career leader list.
