• On Aug. 30, 2009, Lindsey Conrad scored two goals to lead No. 3 Syracuse to a 5-2 win in Durham. Then-freshman Kelsey Millman scored her first career goal.
• On Sept. 21, 2008, Shannon Taylor and Martina Loncarica had hat tricks in a 10-0 Orange win over the Wildcats at Coyne Stadium.
SCOUTING THE WILDCATS
• New Hampshire comes into the weekend 1-2 on the season and ranked No. 24 in the country.
• After a pair of losses at home on the season's opening weekend, 2-1 vs. Massachusetts and 1-0 vs. Ohio State, the Wildcats bounced back in a big way at Brown last Friday, winning 9-1.
• Junior forward Hannah Richard has been the force for UNH through three games, scoring three goals and adding one assist.
• Behind Richard, the scoring has been balanced with seven players with one marker each. Senior Emma Erler leads the team with two assists to go with her one goal.
• UNH is coming off an outstanding 2011 season in which it went 17-5, beat Boston University in the America East Championship game and advanced to the NCAA Tournament, falling to Michigan (5-4) in the first round.
• Head coach Robin Balducci is in her 22nd season at the helm for her alma mater. She was named both America East and NFHCA Northeast Region Coach of the Year in 2011.
• Syracuse assistant Steve Simpson was an assistant at UNH from 2007-2010.

• The teams met every year from 1982-1993, accounting for the other 12 meetings in the series.

SU KNOCKS OFF NO. 2 TAR HEELS
• POSTGAME VIDEOS: Bradley Interview | Russell Interview
• Freshman Emma Russell scored off a penalty corner with 9:03 left in overtime to give No. 7 Syracuse a monumental 1-0 victory against No. 2 North Carolina (2-1) on Saturday afternoon at J.S. Coyne Stadium, running the Orange's home winning streak to 30 games.
• With the win, the Orange defeated its highest-ranked opponent since a 2-1 victory at No. 1 Maryland on Sept. 13, 2008.
• "It was such a monumental moment for our program," head coach Ange Bradley said. "This group of seniors has been working so hard throughout their careers and this is the first time they have gotten a win like this. It was an honor to have a program with the tradition of North Carolina at Coyne, and to get the result we wanted is just awesome."
• It is the first time the Tar Heels have been shut out since 2009, 1-0 vs. Maryland in the ACC Tournament.
HOLLOWAY HONORED BY BIG EAST
• Iona Holloway was named BIG EAST Defensive Player of the Week on Monday, and Emma Russell, who scored the game-winning goal in overtime for the Orange in its 1-0 victory over the Tar Heels, was named to the BIG EAST Honor Roll.
• It is the third career Defensive Player of the Week award for Holloway after winning the honor once each in 2010 and 2011. The senior defender forced several turnovers in Saturday's victory over the Tar Heels, including several key tackles in the circle. The Glasgow, Scotland native was also instrumental on the defensive corner unit, thwarting seven UNC penalty corners, including one in overtime.
• Russell ended the scoreless draw by knocking a shot from the right side of the circle inside the right post off a penalty corner with 9:03 remaining in the overtime period.
ORANGE JUMPS TO NO. 2
• Following its dramatic 1-0 overtime victory against then-No. 2 North Carolina on Saturday, Syracuse has climbed to a No. 2 ranking in this week's Penn Monto/NFHCA Division I National Coaches Poll.
• It is the Orange's highest ranking since being No. 1 on Oct. 14, 2008.
• The Orange was ranked No. 7 in the Aug. 21 preseason poll.
• There were several shake-ups in the top 10 between the 2012 preseason poll and Tuesday's poll as eight different teams received first-place votes. While Syracuse climbed from No. 7 to No. 2 with 671 points and received seven first-place votes, the team it defeated on Saturday, North Carolina (3-1), actually climbed from No. 2 to No. 1, receiving 697 points and eight first-place votes.
TOP 10 STREAK REACHES 44 WEEKS
• The Orange has now been ranked in the top 10 of the NFHCA poll for 44-straight weeks, dating back to Aug. 28, 2008. Last season, SU debuted at No. 5 in the poll and held that position for nine of 11 weeks before finishing the season ranked No. 3 in the final poll.
• Syracuse debuted at No. 5 in the poll in 2011 and spent nine of 11 weeks in that fifth position before finishing the season ranked No. 3 in the final poll.

• Entering this weekend, Stiver has not allowed a goal in 145 minutes and 57 seconds, dating back to the season opener at Monmouth (8/24).
• With SU's 1-0 overtime win vs. No. 2 North Carolina (9/1), Stiver became the first goalie since 2009 to shut out the Tar Heels.
