SYRACUSE, N.Y. -Â The No. 2 Syracuse field hockey team (15-2, 4-2 ACC) heads to its first ACC Championship as the No. 2 seed, where it will play host and No. 7 seed Boston College in the quarterfinal round on Thursday at 1 p.m.
• Syracuse is coming off a 1-0 Senior Day victory vs. No. 3 North Carolina on Saturday that secured the Orange the No. 2 seed and extended its home winning streak to 45 games. SU completed the regular season 15-2 overall and 4-2 in its first ACC season.

HELLO ACC!
• Syracuse is playing its inaugural season in the Atlantic Coast Conference in 2013. The Orange brings the nation's premier field hockey conference's total of programs to seven.
• All seven ACC teams are currently ranked in the NFHCA Top 20, including the top four teams (No. 1 Maryland, No. 2 Syracuse, No. 3 North Carolina and No. 4 Virginia). Boston College is 11th and Wake Forest is 15th.
• ACC teams have been dominant in non-conference games this season, amassing a 77-8 mark for a winning percentage of .906.
• ACC teams have won 10 out of the last 11 national championships and had at least one team in the title game for each of the last 14 years.

ORANGE-HOT AT HOME
• The Orange has been dominating at J.S. Coyne Stadium since seventh-year head coach Ange Bradley took the reins in 2007 as it currently rides a 45-game home winning streak dating back to 2009.
• SU has outscored the opposition, 185-36, or an average score of 4.2-0.8, during the winning streak.
• This year's senior class is a perfect 36-0 on its home field.
• In home games under Bradley (since 2007), Syracuse is 61-6 (.910) overall. That breaks down to 42-4 (.913) in non-conference games and 19-2 (.905) in conference games.
• The Orange is 9-0 at home this season, outscoring its opponents, 30-7. Last season, SU went 8-0 at home and outscored its opponents, 34-7. In 2011, Syracuse went 13-0 at home and outscored the opposition, 65-9.
• SU's last home loss was on Sept. 6, 2009 vs. No. 7 Princeton, 3-2, in overtime.

ORANGE RANKED NO. 2
• For the second week in a row, Syracuse is ranked No. 2 in the Penn Monto/NFHCA Division I Coaches Poll. The Orange moved up one spot from No. 3 two weeks ago. It is the highest the Orange has been ranked since it was No. 1 for three weeks last season.
• The Orange started the season ranked No. 5 in the preseason poll, before slipping to No. 6 on Sept. 10, and had been ranked fifth for three weeks in a row before bouncing between third and fourth the last three weeks prior to this week.

TOP 10 STREAK REACHES 63 WEEKS
• The Orange has been ranked in the top 10 of the NFHCA poll for 63-straight weeks, dating back to Aug. 28, 2008.
• The Orange was ranked No. 1 for three weeks in 2012 after spending three weeks at No. 2, its highest ranking since reaching No. 1 for the first time in program history in 2008.
VS. RANKED OPPONENTS
• Syracuse is 7-2 against ranked opponents this season, most recently beating No. 3 North Carolina, 1-0, on Saturday at Coyne Stadium. The other wins came against No. 7 Massachusetts, 2-1, on Sept. 13, No. 6 Princeton, 4-0, on Sept. 22, No. 6 Stanford, 3-1, on Sept. 28, No. 4 Virginia, 4-1, on Oct. 5, No. 7 Duke, 2-1, in double-OT on Oct. 11, and No. 16 Wake Forest, 4-1, on Oct. 26.
• Syracuse is 50-55 against ranked teams since 2007, including an impressive 24-8 in the last three seasons. SU was 10-2 in 2012 and was 7-4 in 2011.
• The only losses to ranked teams in 2012 were to No. 5 UConn, 4-3, in the BIG EAST Championship and to No. 1 North Carolina in the national semifinals. This season's losses were at No. 17 Boston College, 6-3, and at No. 1 Maryland, 2-1, in overtime on Oct. 18.
• The Orange is 24-34 against top 10 teams since 2007, including a 6-1 mark this year.

FOUR EARN ALL-ACC HONORS
• In its inaugural ACC season, four Syracuse players were named to the All-ACC teams announced on Wednesday. Leonie Geyer was named to the first time, while Laura Hahnefeldt, Alyssa Manley and Emma Russell were named to the second team.
• It is the third time the senior Geyer has been named All-Conference first team. She was a BIG EAST selection in 2010 and the conference's only unanimous pick in 2012.
• It is also Hahnefeldt's third All-Conference honor. She was All-BIG EAST first team in 2010 and 2012. She and Geyer are the ninth and 10th three-time honorees in program history.
• It is the first conference honor for both Manley and Russell.

SERIES VS. BOSTON COLLEGE
• Syracuse is 18-7 all-time against the Eagles, but BC snapped a four-game Orange winning streak in the series on Sept. 20 by defeating SU, 6-3, in Newton despite a 19-6 SU shot advantage. With SU up 2-1, BC scored four goals in a five-minute span to blow open the game. Emma Russell led the Orange with two goals.

SERIES VS. MARYLAND
• Syracuse is 1-5 all-time against Maryland.
• The Terps won this season's match-up in thrilling fashion, 2-1, in overtime. The Orange led, 1-0, on a Karlee Farr goal before Maxine Fluharty tied it with 49 seconds left and Jill Witmer ended it 2:37 into overtime on Oct. 18 in College Park.

SERIES VS. NORTH CAROLINA
• Syracuse is 2-4 all-time against North Carolina, but is 2-1 against the Tar Heels over the last two seasons.
• The Orange won this season's match-up, 1-0, on Nov. 2 at Coyne Stadium on the last day of the regular season. Sarah Kerly scored the game's lone goal as UNC was shut out for just the second time since 2009. The other was vs. Syracuse on Sept. 1, 2012, 1-0, at Coyne.

SERIES VS. VIRGINIA
• SU is 1-2 all-time against Virginia, with the win coming this season, 4-1, on Oct. 5 in Syracuse. Leonie Geyer scored two first-half goals and completed the hat trick in the second half to lead the Orange. Lauren Brooks scored the other SU goal. Hadley Bell scored for UVA.

SERIES VS. DUKE
• This season's regular season game was the first time Syracuse and Duke ever met in field hockey. Lauren Brooks scored the game-winner 5:19 into the second overtime period to give the third-ranked Orange a thrilling 2-1 win on Oct. 11 in Durham. Karlee Farr also scored for SU, while Hannah Barreca scored for Duke.

SERIES VS. WAKe FOREST
• Syracuse is 2-1 all-time against Wake Forest after winning this season's meeting, 5-2, on Oct. 26 in Syracuse. Emma Russell scored twice, while Karlee Farr, Lauren Brooks and Serra Degnan added goals and Jess Jecko made seven saves.
