NEWTON, Mass. – No. 5/6 Syracuse takes on Boston College in a midweek non-conference game on Wednesday, Mar. 26 at 4 p.m. in Newton, Mass. The Orange has won two in a row to improve its record to 4-2, while the Eagles are 4-5 this season.

A CLOSER LOOK AT THE ORANGE
Syracuse opened BIG EAST play with an 18-7 victory against Connecticut on Friday, Mar. 22 in the Carrier Dome. With the win SU extended its winning streak in its first league game of the season to six.
The Orange never trailed as senior Bridget Daley scored on a free position attempt just 24 seconds into the game. Senior Michelle Tumolo, freshman Kayla Treanor and junior Alyssa Murray added goals to put SU up 4-0 with 10:30 to play. Syracuse found the back of the net three times in the final 2:23 of the half to take a 7-0 lead into the locker room at halftime.
Sophomore Devon Collins netted back-to-back goals to start the second half before Connecticut registered its first goal of the game at the 25:28 mark. The Orange continued to click on offense, building its lead to as many as 15 goals.
Murray led a balanced offensive attack for Syracuse as 10 different players recorded goals. Murray tallied eight points (5g, 3a), while Tumolo finished with six points (2g, 4a).
SCOUTING THE EAGLES
Boston College enters Wednesday's game with a record of 4-5. Three of the Eagles' losses have come against teams ranked in the top five.
Covie Stanwick is Boston College's leading scorer with 41 points. Her 32 goals and nine assists also lead the squad. In addition, Mikaela Rix has 25 goals to along with three assists. Emily Mata has played every minute in goal for the Eagles. She has a 12.11 goals-against average and a .310 save percentage.
Acacia Walker is in her first season at the helm of the Boston College program. The former Northwestern standout served as an assistant coach at her alma mater from 2005-08. She was the associate head coach at Massachusetts (2008-10) and Boston College (2010-12) before being named the Eagles' head coach in May 2012.
THE SERIES
Syracuse leads the all-time series with Boston College, 9-0. After meeting every year from 1998-2005, the Orange renewed its series with the Eagles last season. Junior Alyssa Murray set the single-game school record with eight goals to lead Syracuse to a 23-12 victory.
