SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Syracuse's homestand continues on Thursday, Oct. 23 when it hosts No. 14/15 Virginia Tech. Game time is set for 7 p.m. at the SU Soccer Stadium. Admission is free. The Orange will then go on the road to face Wake Forest on Sunday, Oct. 26.

The Hokies (12-4-0, 3-4-0) are the fourth consecutive ranked opponent for the Orange (5-8-3, 2-5-0). Wake Forest enters the weekend with a 4-8-2 overall record and a 2-4-1 mark in ACC play.

SCOUTING THE HOKIES
Virginia Tech will try to snap a two-match losing streak when it takes on Syracuse. The Hokies opened the season with 10 consecutive victories and three of its four losses are to top 20 teams. Murielle Tiernan is Virginia Tech's leading scorer with 21 points on a team-best nine goals and three assists. Caroline Kelly has started 15 matches in goal for the Hokies. She has a 0.69 goals-against average and a .762 save percentage.

SCOUTING THE DEMON DEACONS
Wake Forest snapped its five-game winless streak by upsetting Virginia Tech. Senior Riley Ridgik leads the team with 10 point on four goals and two assists. Kim Marshall and Kendall Fischlein are tied for second with four points each. Lindsay Preston has started 14 matches in goal and has a 1.67 goals-against average and a .712 save percentage.

THE SERIES
Syracuse is 2-2-0 against Virginia Tech. The two last met in 2013 when the Hokies defeated the Orange, 3-0. Wake Forest has won both of the two previous meetings with Syracuse, which includes a 1-0 victory last season.
